A Note from Justine

May 22, 2016

We are overwhelmingly loved by so many who have been actively praying for us in our time of travel and transition. We are thankful for our time in South Africa. We got to attend the All Africa Mission Conference and were able to meet up with our former teammates from Nairobi.

We also met quite a number of people working there who had come from Malawi. It's fun to be able to connect with them in Chichewa and chat about their homeland and their experiences here in South Africa.

While in Cape Town, South Africa, our sweet Lily Rae Hayes decided to arrive just hours before the beginnings of an induction was scheduled. Everything about her birth was peaceful and such a gift. Lily Rae was born on April 19, 2016, weighing 8 pounds 9 ounces. She is a very peaceful baby. My own mom met us in Cape Town and was able to stay until April 22nd. It was such a blessing to enjoy her company and watch her connect with Amelie. (Also, did I mention helpful? Grandparents are the best!)

We planned to leave South Africa on April 30th but were delayed in applying for Lily's passport. Now we are eagerly waiting to receive it and get it stamped so we can return. We should be back in Malawi when this is published.

Much love from all of us,
Ryan, Justine, Amelie, & Lily Hayes
