Namikango Visit

May 15, 2017

I was able to make a quick trip to Malawi in April; I had two full days to see the Mission and meet the staff and missionaries. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to learn more about this good work and to be better informed as a Namikango Board member and field supervisor for the Christian Missionary Fellowship.

I toured the property and saw the areas that had been planted with soya, corn, macadamia, and coffee. There was a Village Savings & Loan refresher course (for 30+ VSL trainers) taking place while I was there and I had the opportunity to visit the class and greet the attendees.

All the missionaries are doing well. I am really impressed with these folks: (Ryan, Justine, Eric, Ben, & Becca) and the way they work together. They are very sharp and work through issues with humility and respect while not ignoring things that need to be addressed.

I’m also impressed with all the ministry taking place and thank God for those who have gone before to lay such a good foundation at Namikango. The current team of missionaries and Mission directors are doing a good job of building on that foundation.
