Jul 3, 2013

Hundreds of people from all walks of life attended the burial ceremony of Brother Amos Jekete at his home village some two hours away from Namikango Bible School. The turn-out at the funeral spoke volumes about this good man. The hundreds who attended the funeral of this soldier of Christ testified about his character and life. One of the speakers at the funeral told how Jekete had been instrumental in establishing over 35 congregations around his home area.

Many of his former students told about what a great teacher he had been.

A couple of months before his death, Bro. Jekete was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus. He was 75 and loved teaching God’s Word and he did so until the very end. He served at Namikango Bible School for 24 years.
