Some Major Events in 2013

2013 was a year of mixed blessings. While some very key Mission staff, Rodrick and Symon, were involved in the worst road accident in the Mission’s memory, two of our younger staff members were married. Stanley, our Senior Office Assistant, married Tadala on July, 7, 2013, and Alex, our Maintenance Chief and Agriculture Teacher, married Gift on September, 28, 2013. Stanley’s wife Tadala is an elementary school teacher, while Alex’s wife Gift is a qualified house keeper in the hotel industry. Gift and Tadala are happy to be part of a team committed to serving the Lord. Both staff members are outstanding, godly young men and we wish them and their wives well.

My family also had a blessing to thank God for. Our second born daughter - Alinikisa (or Kissa for short) graduated from the University of Malawi with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities as an English major. She is currently an intern with a non-government organization called G-net. She spends most of her time doing research work with young girls in elementary and high schools in rural areas of the country. She has received an offer to become a professor at the university. She graduated cum laude and hopes to find a scholarship for a master’s degree.

We thank God for all His blessings!
